Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Tampa, FL. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, aiming to build a path toward a full-time schedule.

The pay rate is $17.75 per hour, with a six-month anchor shift commitment at a healthcare site. Responsibilities include screening patients, visitors, staff and vendors, operating screening equipment, and responding calmly to incidents.

• Screen individuals entering designated areas in accordance with established protocols, verify access requirements, and direct visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of personal belongings, packages, and deliveries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, screening areas, and nearby perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Part Time Screening in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 12:30 AM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, and nearby perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
