Job summary

Allied Universal in Tampa, FL is seeking a Security Officer - Site Patrol for a part-time enhanced role. The position offers reliable site-based hours with the option to pick up additional shifts for greater earnings.

Pay rate is $22.00 per hour, with a fixed Wed 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM schedule. The role emphasizes customer service, routine patrols, and adherence to site policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, observations, and daily activities.

As a Security Officer - Site Patrol in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
