Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with site procedures, communicating instructions clearly and professionally.
• Verify visitor access requirements and direct to entrances, departments, and check‑in locations.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate screening‑related documentation and report unusual activity or equipment issues.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Associate in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific screening procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with healthcare location procedures, communicating instructions clearly and professionally.
• Verify visitor access requirements and direct patients, visitors, and vendors to appropriate entrances, departments, and check‑in locations.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited‑item concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate screening‑related documentation and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and equipment issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
