Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Security Officer (Reception) in Chicago, IL. You will greet visitors, manage access, and deliver outstanding customer service at a front desk in a commercial real estate setting.

Shifts Fri-Sun 3:00 PM–11:00 PM at $19.75 per hour. This flexible role lets you tailor your schedule while contributing to a safe, welcoming environment and joining a trusted, people-first team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at a front desk location within a commercial real estate setting, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Greet, screen, and direct tenants, visitors, vendors, and contractors while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, access records, and other required documentation while supporting a positive experience for building occupants and guests.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
