Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a front desk/Reception role at a commercial real estate location in Wilmington, DE. You will greet visitors, manage access, and support incident response while delivering professional customer service.

This position offers flexible scheduling with day and weekend shifts, a $20.00 hourly pay rate, and opportunities to advance through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives by following security procedures and emergency responses.
• Staff the front desk and greet visitors, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, maintain records, and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per escalation procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity and deter unauthorized access, reporting unusual activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property representatives by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk and serve as a professional point of contact for a commercial real estate location, greeting visitors and providing directions or general assistance.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Monitor lobby and entry activity through direct observation and available systems, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
