Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Wilmington, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed06:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, front desk protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access at the front desk by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and sign-out activity, issuing credentials as directed, and documenting arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor records, incident reports, and other required documentation to support security-related operations at the location.
• Support a professional presence in a chemical and petrochemical location by observing lobby and entry activity, answering general questions, and reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
