Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Port Patrol in Baltimore, MD. This role provides flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $20.14 per hour. The position includes a fixed- shift anchor and allows scaling to up to 40 hours per week when desired, with potential for progression to full-time. Equal opportunity employer.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors and/or drivers at a government maritime transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned facilities and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations and complete required reports.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation and communicate observations to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Part Time Port Patrol in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.14 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government maritime transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned facilities, access points, waterfront areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support compliance with applicable site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
