Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and crew by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen passengers, carry-on items, baggage, and supplies using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; report prohibited items and irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for individuals entering restricted areas of the cruise terminal and vessel operations location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Part Time Credential Screening in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 03:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
