Allied Universal in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Surveillance for a utilities location. The role involves serving and safeguarding clients, monitoring areas, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will build a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform, perform patrols, control access, respond to alarms, and provide customer service while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation may be conducted.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, or suspicious activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.97 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
