Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials, maintain logs, and report access-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations following site procedures and contacting emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government correctional location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services and/or supervisory personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
