Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and perimeter.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site personnel.
• Assist with documenting incidents and communicating information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Decatur, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 04:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, hotel entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate hotel personnel.
• Assist with documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
