Salary is paid at $18.25 per hour with a fixed shift (Thursdays 10:00 PM–06:00 AM) and potential for additional shifts to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per applicable laws.
• Criminal histories reviewed per laws; non-disqualifying histories allowed.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training is required.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Armed Part Time Mobile Patrol in Talladega, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and facility-related questions, and maintain a professional presence in patient care environments.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
