Job summary

Allied Universal in Bear, DE is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect clients in tech, media and telecom environments. You will perform routine interior and exterior patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver courteous customer service while following site procedures.

This role offers flexible day schedules and the opportunity to claim additional shifts through our platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other designated spaces.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
