Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, observation of the work environment, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
