Allied Universal® in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for public assistance duties at cultural institutions and other sites. You will provide customer service, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while reporting observations to site leadership.

This role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, with shifts on Mon, Fri, Sat, and Sun. A high school diploma, background check, and relevant licensure or driving requirements apply

Formación

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening processes, and monitoring of restricted areas per location procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership.

Pay Rate: $16.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 09:30 AM - 05:15 PM
• Fri: 09:30 AM - 05:15 PM
• Sat: 09:30 AM - 05:15 PM
• Sun: 09:30 AM - 05:15 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening processes, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with location procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
