Job summary

Allied Universal® in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer for patrol observation at a commercial real estate location.

You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide customer service to tenants and visitors while following site procedures and reporting incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting unusual conditions and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly with property personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
