Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Tampa, FL. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible patrols, and assist shoppers and staff while maintaining a safe environment. The role offers flexible hours and a platform to explore additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screening where permitted by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by following site procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and efficiently, addressing concerns and suspected theft when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter security issues and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report hazards or violations to leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate security reports and communicate information to supervision.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist customers and store personnel, and communicate clearly with your team. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
