Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time role in Newark, NJ. You will patrol a financial institution, deter incidents, and respond to alarms while delivering excellent customer service. The position requires an armed guard card and a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.

This role offers a part-time schedule with weekday afternoon shifts and opportunities to advance through Allied Universal’s training and perk programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• MUST BE RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH RPO.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
