Allied Universal in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time. This role offers fixed anchor shifts and a six-month commitment, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents with pay at $19.50 per hour and part-time hours with potential to scale toward full-time.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directions and general property information.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
