Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed at our Arlington, VA site. This role offers reliable hours and hands-on experience supporting a corporate technology location.

Pay rate is $21.75 per hour with fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform. Candidates must be 18+ for unarmed roles, have a high school diploma, and pass background checks and a drug screen.

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a corporate location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, parking, and perimeter to report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; document activity and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership to maintain a welcoming environment.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Systems in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site requirements, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
