Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Montgomery, AL. This role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts when it fits your schedule.

Pay rate is $17.93 per hour. The position combines fixed-shift commitments with opportunities to claim extra shifts via our scheduling platform, potentially increasing weekly hours up to 40.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and report suspicious behavior.
• Prepare clear activity reports and communicate observations to site management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Montgomery, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.93 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site policies, and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security‑related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
