Job summary

Allied Universal in Troy, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Patrol Driver) to protect clients across government and other facilities. This role combines customer service with vigilant security duties and requires a valid driver’s license and armed-guard credentials where applicable.

You will conduct armed patrols, monitor restricted access, respond to incidents, and document activities per site procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Document observations and required reports accurately and promptly.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of movement throughout the assigned location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and required reports accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
