Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Scranton, PA. You will provide unarmed security, patrol retail locations, assist with customer service, and deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens. Work schedules include weekend shifts in the afternoon to evening.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Valid Driver's License:Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that complies with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This includes:
  • A current and valid license issued by the appropriate authority.
  • No significant driving violations that would disqualify the candidate from operating a vehicle for company purposes.
  • The ability to provide a copy of the driver's license upon request during the hiring process.

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and directions for customers and visitors during normal operations, special events, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
