Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driver Documentation in Durham, NC. You will provide security services at government locations and support a safe, secure environment while using our Shift-claim platform to explore additional roles.

The role includes day/evening shifts with a schedule that supports part-time employment. A valid driver’s license, tech comfort with devices, and customer service experience are preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with local personnel, visitors, and first responders as needed while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
