Job summary

Allied Universal in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer to protect residents and property. You will patrol, monitor access points, and provide courteous service to residents and visitors.

Two years of security experience and a valid Guard Card are required; you will complete reports, respond calmly to incidents, and use our Shift platform to select assignments. The role offers flexible daytime and weekend hours and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings and common areas to identify hazards and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents and patrol observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
