Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer operating checkpoint patrols to protect clients in healthcare and other facilities. You will work a flexible schedule through the Claim a Shift platform, delivering professional customer service while following site procedures.

You will perform regular patrols, monitor access points, respond calmly to incidents, and document observations for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including public areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
