Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Control in Playa Vista, CA to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. You will perform security procedures, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence.

The role offers Part Time hours with a pay rate of $19.50 per hour and a schedule that includes day and night shifts. Prior security and customer service experience is preferred, with a high school diploma and valid

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
