You will provide unarmed security, maintain a visible presence, assist visitors, and support access control while building a professional, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors following site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed according to procedures.
• Conduct routine unarmed patrols of retail areas, parking, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity with site requirements.
• Prepare clear reports and communicate with management and responders.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Control in Playa Vista, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and help create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
