Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Austin, TX. You will safeguard clients across industries, monitor access and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication.

Your schedule may include nights and weekends; eligibility requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and completion of background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
