Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Marion, IN. You will patrol sites, monitor access, and provide courteous customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors.

In manufacturing and industrial locations, you will support access control, conduct routine patrols, and help deter incidents. A high school diploma and 18+ age are required, with background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting access control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following escalation and emergency response protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.23 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
