Allied Universal in Annandale, VA is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide flexible, dependable security coverage with fixed weekend shifts. This role offers Saturday and Sunday mornings, a pay rate of $18.30 per hour, and the option to pick up additional shifts.

You’ll perform security procedures, patrol facilities, monitor access, and respond to incidents while upholding a professional, customer‑focused presence.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directions.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Readiness in Annandale, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:30 AM - 05:30 PM
• Sun 07:30 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directions while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
