Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Panel Access in Spartanburg, SC. You will protect patients, visitors, and staff at healthcare locations, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols using tablet-based documentation.

Role is overnight with Friday and Saturday shifts; pay is $18.15 per hour. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service, communication, and compliance with site protocols. Background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly using location-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the healthcare location and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit for patients, visitors, staff, and deliveries.
• Document incidents and security activities accurately and communicate with supervisors and site representatives.

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures for patients, visitors, staff, and deliveries.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
