Allied Universal in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to screen visitors and protect people and property at a technology-focused site. You will provide courteous service, verify access credentials, and monitor entrances during Sat and Sun shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; verify access credentials and direct individuals to appropriate entry points or contacts.
• Monitor access points and screening equipment, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and document observations, incidents, and access-related activity according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.17 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
