Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time screening checkpoint at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Kansas City, KS. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, verify credentials, and report security concerns while maintaining a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 or 21+ for armed positions as applicable.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and access policies.
• Screen individuals, belongings, and deliveries; report prohibited items or activities.
• Verify identification, visitor authorization, and access permissions before entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; communicate observations to leadership.
• Maintain accurate screening and incident documentation and ensure a professional entry experience.

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures; identify and report prohibited or unauthorized items and/or activities.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions before allowing entry to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
• Maintain accurate screening, visitor, incident, and access-control documentation while supporting a professional and welcoming entry experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
