Job summary

Allied Universal, in Lancaster, OH, is seeking a Part Time Overnight Security Officer to monitor a technology data center site and provide excellent customer service. You will perform unarmed patrols, control access, and respond calmly to incidents while documenting activities using tablets or computers.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and successful background checks with drug screening. Hours are overnight Monday through Wednesday with a pay rate of 23.44 per hour, and

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and responders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and patrol logs while maintaining confidentiality.

Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vendor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining confidentiality of site operations and information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
