Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Durham, NC. You will patrol government sites, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors while driving a patrol vehicle.

Qualifications

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will communicate clearly, report security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site representatives, visitors, and responding agencies while following applicable post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
