Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and entrances.

As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use X-ray screening and access control procedures to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, use computer or tablet-based systems, and report security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and/or packages in accordance with site procedures and access requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization for entry into restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, facility entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
