Job summary

Allied Universal in Clayton, NC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Inspection Patrol to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site with the opportunity to grow toward a full‑time role within the industry leader.

You will perform access control, patrols, incident response, and customer service for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site, with a fixed shift and an option to pick additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees at a pharmaceutical site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas and perimeters.
• Monitor restricted access points and verify credentials as directed.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and escalate as needed.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately in required systems.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Inspection Patrol in Clayton, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a pharmaceutical manufacturing location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities accurately and timely using required reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
