Job summary

Allied Universal in Clayton, NC is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Credential Verification to protect a pharmaceutical manufacturing location. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide courteous service while maintaining security procedures.

This full-time role requires at least 1 year of security experience, the ability to lift 20 pounds, and a valid driver's license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a pharmaceutical manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events following emergency procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns through clear reports and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor access control points and verify visitor, contractor, and vendor authorization in accordance with established site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns through clear and timely reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
