• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and professionally following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.

• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
