Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Austin, TX. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and optional pick-up shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

The position pays $21.00 per hour with a schedule including Day/Time shifts, and can lead toward full-time opportunities at Allied Universal. Prior security experience and a valid driver’s license are required or preferred as listed.

Qualifications

• Access control or badge experience preferred.

• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors and contractors; follow security procedures and emergency response when needed.

As a Security Officer Part Time Driver Manufacturing Patrol in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of technology facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
