Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Key Control in Kutztown, PA to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. This role focuses on access control, credential verification, and ensuring a safe, professional environment for employees, visitors, and drivers.

You will work a flexible part-time schedule with opportunities to learn and advance through our Claim a Shift platform, receiving paid training and support from a dedicated security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:
