Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Allentown, PA to monitor facilities, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service. This position offers a flexible weekend schedule and the opportunity to earn through our Claim a Shift platform, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Minimum requirements include being at least 18 (21 for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, passing background and drug screenings, and a valid driver’s license where

As a Security Officer supporting a food and beverage location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM


• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage distribution location.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and observe deliveries, shipments, and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.


• Document incidents, observations, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
