Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Allentown, PA to safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service.

The role offers flexible Day/Night schedules including weekends, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Responsibilities include monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and maintaining security logs.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery procedures; maintain logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to identify unusual activity.
• Document security observations and maintain professional communications with site personnel.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery procedures in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post instructions, and documenting security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
