Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Healthcare Security Professional for hospital protection in Chattanooga, TN. The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least 1 year of security experience, and the ability to work in hospital environments, including morgue scenarios.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required per law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of healthcare facility grounds and entrances to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management following site procedures.
• Document and report incidents and policy concerns to site contacts and leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
Thur 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and visitor-related matters.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures, maintaining a professional and respectful presence in patient care environments.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
