Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Mayfield Heights, OH. You will provide security services in a healthcare setting, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and assist with access control and incident documentation.

The role emphasizes patient, visitor, and staff safety, with flexible day/night schedules and opportunities to grow and earn through our shift-claim platform. A valid driver’s license and CPR being preferred are noted in requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a morgue.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and compliance with facility procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.
