Job summary

Allied Universal in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at the Guest Services Desk. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, control access, and respond to security concerns while delivering friendly, professional service.

This role offers a flexible schedule with weekend night shifts and a pathway to build experience in security and customer service. Candidates should be 18+ (21+ for armed positions), have a high school diploma, and be comfortable using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Manage the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification and access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, receive deliveries and communications, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor front-desk systems and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to the appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
