Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) for a government facility in Pflugerville, TX. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and provide professional customer service.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience required.
• A valid drivers license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check required and drug screen may apply.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site procedures, access control and emergency response protocols at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces and perimeters to identify hazards or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances/exits and designated access points; verify credentials; maintain visitor logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and disturbances calmly and notify appropriate personnel or authorities as required.
• Help maintain an orderly environment by reporting hazards and policy violations per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; verify credentials as required; and maintain visitor logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public agencies when required.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by observing and reporting hazards, property concerns, and security-related policy violations in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
