As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Security Clearance in Mc Lean, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by pick‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$25.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communications systems, and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security‑related incidents through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence, provide directions and general assistance, and support access‑control and badging processes in a manner consistent with sensitive facility requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
