Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Mc Lean, VA. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with options to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, supporting a path toward full-time hours up to 40 per week.

Position requires a DoD Secret Clearance, 18+ years of age for unarmed work, and 21+ for armed assignments. Pay is $25.24 per hour with a structured fixed-shift schedule and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Staff the front desk and reception area, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communication systems, reporting unusual activity or access concerns to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Maintain clear logs and complete required reports, while providing professional communication and support to personnel and guests.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
